Dr. Laura Jones is an award-winning GRC and risk management executive who drives enterprise vision, strategy, and operational and information security risk management architecture. With decades of industry-agnostic experience, Dr. Laura focuses on risk enablement, which leads to the protection of organizational assets and reduces reputation risk. Conceptualizing, building, and overseeing integrated risk management programs is where she excels. Dr. Laura’s expertise shines most brightly in the areas of governance, risk, and compliance, as well as operational and cybersecurity risk management. Her deep insights have informed key business decisions and steered organizations toward greater resilience and sustainable growth. She is known for creating solutions that can be adopted and applied across business landscapes. Notably, she directed risk management activities across a 12-project, multimillion-dollar portfolio focused on upgrading the Pentagon’s and US Army’s technical capabilities. Internally, she helped shape a corporate quality management plan for 25,000 globally dispersed BAH staff. 


Dr. Laura earned a Ph.D. in Product Management with a research focus on reputation risk, a Master of Science in Quality Systems Management, a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies, and a graduate certificate in Cybersecurity Policy. She holds multiple industry certifications. She has also completed execution education in decision sciences (Harvard Kennedy School), risk management (Carnegie Mellon University), and artificial intelligence (UC Berkeley). An experienced strategist and skilled practitioner, Dr. Laura is a published author, international speaker on the topics of cybersecurity and risk management, and she is adjunct faculty at two universities.
