She is a Lead Instructor at the Child Welfare Academy in the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
While serving in the United States Air Force, the Lord afforded Leslie many opportunities to serve in various ministries within the United States and abroad. She currently serves on the ministerial staff of The Temple of Healing Waters C.O.G.I.C. She serves as the campus pastor for the ministry’s Maryland location in Hilcrest Heights, Maryland and is known as “Pastor Leslie” by all who are acquainted with the ministry.
She is a published author who is frequently called upon as a Keynote Speaker, workshop facilitator, teacher and preacher for women’s conferences and retreats. Her most recent book, “Pull It Off The Page” (Experiencing the God whom we sing, preach and read about), is targeted to those who desire to see the demonstration of the Lord’s power in their everyday lives. Leslie is the Founder and Visionary of “LBJ Ministries/Led By Jesus Ministries, Inc.- “Women In Ministry.”
For over 12 years, Leslie hosted an annual “Women in Ministry Getaway” where women of various Christian denominations convened with the sole purpose of seeking the face of God while pulling away from the routine tasks of daily life. About 5 years ago, the Lord shifted the ministry to begin connecting with women across the United States and abroad. Thus the 2-day “Connecting For Empowerment Conference” was birthed and launched as a means to support Christian ministries by equipping God’s women for excellence in life and ministry by building the spirit, mind and body. The 2-day “Connecting For Empowerment Conference” has since convened in Maryland, Kentucky, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Florida, Virginia and Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Women In Ministry” continue to connect via a virtual platform and have added ministries in the United Kingdom, Ghana and India.
Pastor Leslie, firmly believes that the Lord is shifting and strategically positioning and empowering His church and her earnest desire is to be a relevant voice for the Lord in this critical hour.
